MóvilMex offers digital health insurance at 99 pesos/month to Mexico's 30 million informal-economy workers, covering consultations, medicines, and hospitalisation through a network of 1,200 partner clinics.
In Mexico, 57% of the working population is informal with no social security access. Falling ill can financially destroy a family. MóvilMex has developed a digital health insurance plan at 99 pesos/month (€5) covering 3 medical consultations, 50% of generic medicines, and 10 days of hospitalisation per year, accessible via WhatsApp with no paperwork. Our network of 1,200 partner clinics in 8 Mexican states handles consultations in under 2 hours. We fund this coverage through our pooling model and partnerships with generic pharmaceutical laboratories. 340,000 active policyholders, 28% monthly growth. Our loss ratio is 61% (industry: 78%). The €1.8M raise will fund expansion into 10 new states and the launch of a plan for informal micro-enterprises.
