InsureBox offers French farmers a parametric climate insurance policy triggered automatically by satellite weather data — no assessment, no delay — covering drought, hail, and frost within 48 hours.
Climate risks cost French farmers an average of €1.4 billion per year, yet only 35% are adequately insured because claims procedures are slow, opaque, and systematically under-compensate. InsureBox offers parametric insurance: trigger thresholds (temperature, rainfall, wind speed) are set contractually, and as soon as a certified Copernicus weather station records them, compensation is paid automatically within 48 hours — no assessor, no dispute. Our partnership with Covéa lets us distribute these products within the regulatory framework. 280 farms subscribed in Champagne and Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Average premium of €3,200 for €45,000 of cover. We are seeking €1.4M to develop 4 new parametric products and recruit 15 field advisors.
