About the project
CargoRobot operates a fleet of autonomous delivery robots in German city centres, 20% cheaper than human couriers and available 24/7 for pharmacies, restaurants, and local shops.
A shortage of delivery drivers across Europe and rising wages have made last-mile delivery unprofitable for 40% of retailers. CargoRobot deploys 80 cm-wide delivery robots that navigate pavements autonomously using a system of 12 cameras and LiDAR. Each delivery costs €2.80 vs €4.50 for a human courier. We operate 35 robots in Munich, Hamburg, and Cologne with 1,800 daily deliveries and 96.4% customer satisfaction. Our approval from the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt is secured. Signed partnerships include DM Drogerie, Rewe, and 3 fast-food chains. The €5M raise will grow our fleet from 35 to 250 robots and enable entry into Austria and Switzerland.
